Selecting Paint: The Perfect Neutrals from Sherwin Williams
Hey there!
I get asked a lot about paint and luckily I have used a TON. I have good experiences and ones I have learned from when selecting the right paint color for projects.
There are so many things that can affect how a paint will look in a space, so be sure to sample these in your home before committing a ton of money and energy. Amount of daylight, the type of light bulbs, and even your very own eyes can determine how a paint looks to you. For example I had a chocolate milk color I used all the time, but eventually had to stop because one of our clients saw green in it. While the green hue didn't bother me, for her it was an issue.
One thing I, and our team, does is taking an idea of what we want and then finding a slightly grayer version of it. Below is a list of neutral paint colors I love and use ALL THE TIME, along with images to show you how it looks in the space I used it in. Most of these colors I am sure you have heard of or maybe even used, but I thought showing imagery might help to guide you. I hope this helps for your next trip to Sherwin Williams!
Check back in soon for my list of my favorite accent paints I have used! I have used so many, I may have to split that post into multiple based on color direction. I can’t tell you how much I love selecting paint! Let me know if you have any questions, or need recommendations!
Cheers!
Shana
